Peaches
My parents have a peach tree in their back yard. So this is the time of year that we can peaches. Earlier this week I went to my always fabulous sister's house. Yes I have forgiven her for neglecting me and my blog because she let me can peaches in her big kitchen. As I was hunched over a giant bowl peeling peaches this is what was playing in my head.

My mom made the best peach cobbler growing up, but I don't have the recipe. I really should get it!

I love fresh peaches. I don't do too much fruity desserts and I am not a jam maker or canner.
When I was a kid, my mom served peaches from a jar. Each night we had to drink milk with our dinner and I would gag when I had to eat peaches and drink milk. I wasn't a big peach fan until I got older and over that.
I love fruity desserts, big time. Favorites are Grandma Faith's peach cobbler...I double the topping....cuz it is good like that. I love me a nice peach pie too with freshly grated nutmeg....yum. But....my favorite is just cut in half. I miss Palisade Peaches.

Me too!!!! I've been canning peaches this week too. I also attempted peach syrup this time around. Actually it is peach jam without so much sugar and less surejell so it is sure not to jell. ;)
My favorite way to eat peaches is in peach crisp. Mmmmmm!! My husbands favorite is the same as carrot's, straight from the jar with the juice (which is really just peach flavored sugar water).
I heart this blog and peaches and this song...I was actually listening to it this AM. Good stuff I love me some Presidents...dead or alive ;)
Peach Cobbler! Peach Jam on warm home made bread...mmm tasty. I think I just gained five pounds thinking about that!
