December 1963
Is there a song from your childhood that you love but haven't heard for long time and then you hear it you're happy to have it stuck in your head all day? That's what happened to me yesterday morning on my way into work I heard December 1963 by Frankie Vallie and The Four Seasons. I don't have any specific memories linked to this song. Only that I loved it when I was a kid and I still do. Speaking of musical gems that have a year in the title, 1979 by the Smashing Pumpkins and Bryan Adams crooning about the year I was born Summer of 69.

The Grease and Saturday Night Fever soundtracks show up pretty frequently in my childhood memories. My friend Andrea Miller was the cool kid and she had all the good stuff at her house.

I heard "Self Control" by Laura Branigan the other day and I grinned because I don't think I'd heard it since I was a teenager.
I also remember hearing "In My Dreams" by REO Speedwagon & "What Have I Done to Deserve This?" by Pet Shop Boys after not hearing them for years, and just having them stuck in my head all day! :)
......until we quit and Joanie got married. Should have known we'd never get far.

This song was blaring on the AM radio of the family station wagon as we were headed to Wheatridge for a soccer game.
I remember I was in the 3rd grade, so that would put you in Kindergarten. If my memory serves me correctly, my team won and on the way home we heard this song again. Forever cementing the song and the memory of that day in my head.
Oh yeah, that station wagon was wood-paneled, had a rear window that rolled up and was at least 54 feet long.
WHY AM I THE LAST TO KNOW ABOUT THIS?!
